We have just uploaded a Financial Literacy Video that has been designed to help directors and committees to understand some basics about reading financial reports.
The video has been developed by Network SA (who also manage the IPSU in South Australia) with funding provided by the Australian Government Child Care Services Support Program.
The information provided by the Department of Education says:
From May 2012 to July 2013, the Australian Government held a series of 51 Early Childhood Education and Care Industry Roundtables in regional and remote locations nationally. These Roundtables brought together child care and early learning services, training providers and employment service providers to develop solutions to workforce challenges in their regions. The Australian Government provided additional seed funding under the Child Care Services Support Program (CCSSP) to support 14 industry-led outcomes projects targeted at implementing these solutions.
This financial literacy video resource is a shining example of how a regional, industry-led project can gain national recognition.
So, thanks go to Network SA and to the Department for seeing a need and responding to it. Lets keep Government informed about what it is that we need to help us do our job better.
